Raised by Joseph Cooper of Gloucester County, New Jersey, USA. First recorded in 1806. Introduced to the UK c.1820. Originally received by the National Fruit Trials at Wisley as 'Lady Lucy'. Fruits have golden yellow, slightly juicy flesh with a sweet, slightly rich flavour.
