Dove

Cider · Apple · Malus domestica Borkh. · 1 accession

Originated in Glastonbury, Somerset. Recorded in 1899 but thought to be older than this. Dove produces a vintage, sweet and slightly astringent juice and a medium bittersweet cider. Trees are of medium vigour. This variety is now rarely planted as it is rather susceptible to scab.
